LAB 1.6 Connecting Internet with Wireless at MikroTik Routerboard

Mesothelioma

Purpose :

•   To know how to connect routerboard to internet via wifi
•   To find out how to DHCP Client, Configuration IP Address, and add a firewall in MikroTik Routerboad

Materials :

• MikroTik Routerboard
• Power Cable
• UTP Cable
• PC/Laptop

1. Disable the Wi-Fi and VirtualBox Host-Only Network

2. Open the Winbox application, click icon "[...]"

3. Select the connection using the "MAC Address" to connect with MikroTik Routerboard 

4. Click the connect to connecting with winbox

5. Click the "Wireless" tab located on the Menu MikroTik Routerboard

6. select the tab "Interfaces", then Double click On Interface "wlan1"

7.  then click "enable" to enable the interface "wlan1"

8. select  the tab "Wireless", then click "scan" to search for Wi-Fi are all around you

9.  It will be seen that there is a Wi-Fi around you

10. Select Wi-Fi you want to connect , then click "Connect"

11. Click "Apply" and "Ok"

12. select the tab "Security Policies", then click "+" to add a security policy to Wi-Fi

13. Write the name of security you want to create, and all ceklist, Then enter the password that is used by Wi-Fi, then click apply and ok

14. select the tab "Interfaces", then Double click on Interfaces "wlan1" 

15. Change the "Security Policies" that you have created, then Click "Apply" and "Ok"

16. select  the tab "Registration", will there Interface "wlan1"

17. Seen writing the letter "R" in the Interface "wlan1", meaning intefaces "wlan1" is already connected to a Wi-Fi

18.  Click the "IP" , then select "DHCP Client"

19. Click the icon "+" to add the DHCP Client

20. Change Interfaces to be Interface "wlan1", then click apply and ok

21. Click the tab "IP" , then select "DNS"

22. the DNS server will appear automatically, then click ok

23. Open the Terminal with clicking "New Terminal"

24.  Add Firewall on MikroTik RouterBOARD

25. Check the Internet connection with ping to gateway and google

26.  Set ting the IP Address in Client

27.  Check the Internet connection with ping to  google 

28. Test on the Client with opening a web address
